This is a Firm and sturdy product, the Velcro strap actually STAYS strapped during heavy lifts. The only complaint I’d say I have is that for squats, you have to position the bar/strap on your neck and shoulders in such a way that the bar won’t "roll” out of the foam padding throughout the course of the squat motion - if that makes sense. Easy to get the hang of though. I like it
