I've been buying the same shoes for my son for 3 years, just one size bigger. I love these shoes. HOWEVER - on the last pair I bought him the velcro stopped sticking together after a few months making it difficult for my 3.5 year old to walk and play in them and the straps were always in the way. The velcro was absolutely clean - no lint, no grass, nothing to stop it from sticking. I have ordered another pair in the same size after only wearing the last pair for a few months and now the new pair we only wore for 1 month are doing the same. Again, the velcro is perfectly clean, nothing prevents the velcro from sticking to it. I am so disappointed.
