I have a very accurate refractometer, but I still like the convenience of just dipping a box-shaped specific gravity meter and getting instant results. Coralife, Instant Ocean etc. I found them unreliable at best. This Boxtech has been very accurate so far, almost achieving what my refractometer says. In terms of design and accuracy, it reminds me of the very first hydrometer I owned over 30 years ago.
