HEAT kills electronics. I use them for more than just my RPs. Modern things have poor ventilation and cooling because the vents are ugly. Therefore, in order for my toys to work properly and longer, I usually drill holes in the case and install heatsinks on the chips that heat up. I use an IR thermometer and refer to what I can. former. My router dropped 17 degrees of heat after adding 20 holes and a heatsink; Surprise, no more random crashes that require a reboot! WD TV Live, same thing, hasn't restarted it in months. My RPi is used for PiHole and Docuwiki, works great!
