I started with your simple wire shelf liners which are sold at a discount by stock wire shelf retailers. They work, but are usually made of slippery, shiny plastic and typically only fit certain shelves (although same-sized shelves tend to have slightly different spacing between shelves, so mixing brands on the same row of shelves often doesn't work) . Work.). Then I found some here at Revain that were a little better made but annoyingly too big and rolled up into a tube that had to be flattened. I finally found Sterling here. Good matte finish. The rounded column cutouts are even more beautiful. A much more sophisticated look than the simple diagonal cut. But not quite perfect. They're cut slightly smaller so they fit all shelf brands I've tried sizing, but do slip up a bit. Also, not all sizes are available. That means there's no option for a 21-inch depth. So if you want the same liners and multiple shelves, you're out of luck. Luckily I only use liners for the shelves I store books on and they are all 14 inches deep. They look best for this, although they are a bit slippery. It transforms a utilitarian looking shelf into some respectable looking loft style. I bought 3 sets in 2 sizes. Well, if only I could order these custom cutouts made to measure, I'd post the non-book shelves too!
