I have two 2 year old 80lb Golden Retrievers. Sometimes they would run away from me, chasing anything that moved. So I decided to study seriously and try this remote control. See I've never used anything like this before. First, this remote control is VERY easy to use. You can quickly switch from one recipient to another. The buttons are clearly labeled and the shock button is a large orange button. This gives you quick access when you need it. I mainly use the vibration function. And when they try to get away for something, I'm shocked. I didn't really have to use the damper very often because both of my bikes react very quickly to vibrations. Sometimes I give them a treat, often I pet and praise them. Only in my first week and both dogs are doing very well. I really didn't think it would go so well. It's nice to give my dogs a bit of freedom so they can roam freely outside. The remote holds a charge really well. And there is a screen where you can monitor the charge on the remote and receivers. If you use vibration frequently, the receivers will deplete faster. But you can constantly and easily see the remaining charge and don't get caught with dead receivers. I will give an update in a month or so. Now I am very glad that I bought this system. Let's see if they hold up over time. Update in 2 weeks. One of my dogs is doing very well with the training and this device. But the Alpha isn't doing so well. I've noticed that the shock doesn't always deliver the shock strength needed to correct the behavior. Charging seems to take some time. Every time I press the shock button, the shock decreases. No shock so far. I am not sure what is wrong with this and I will contact the company.
