Review on Fluval A13926 Edge 42 LED Fixture by Nancy Bryant

I received this to replace the 21 LED light bulb that my 6 gallon Fluval Edge came with. It was a little annoying to install after my tank was fully set up. So if you plan on getting this, ideally do it before your tank gets wet! There were NO screws included which was very disappointing considering I ripped the screw off. Take out the old hardware. Four screws need to be removed, after which the levers release over a small pivot at the rear of the tank service area. One thing I don't like about this update is that there are only 3 blue LEDs versus 39 white LEDs. In the original there are 3 blues for 18 whites. This results in very small color changes between the two lights. The pictures don't do it justice, but there is a significant difference in brightness between the two lights. This one definitely fills the edges and corners with lots of light. If you're trying to grow plants or just want a lighter tank, I would recommend this setup despite the price.
