While I don't know anything about the relevance of Plato and the fox reference and really hope it's not obscene or anything, the design is as simple as it is beautiful. It's not easy, but a circle of crystals and silver metal is as simple a shape as you can get, only complemented by a tail (for an attractive necklace loop). The most elaborate part is the fox head, and this is obviously the main detail expressing reference to the fox. The size in some images seems to imply a much larger pendant than it actually is and be sure to check out the comparison that shows it alongside the penny. (Scale it on screen to fit the penny and you'll get this best idea.) It's small, but not tiny. You could also say: about the right size. Anyway, my daughter called it beautiful and that's when the gift counts. She loved it, and that's what matters. (Although I also have to admit that it looks great.)
