I have been working with poppies for about 10 years. I decided to try m1 pro, I really liked it. The speed of compilation of projects is much faster, it is very difficult to load the percent to hear the coolers, which cannot be said about the graphics. 16 cores, they still get hot if you run something that requires graphics to work in native resolution. An example of Diablo 3 (2022) - at maximum speeds in native resolution and on a laptop, you can fry cutlets. 16 GB of memory - it’s the most for work, but it’s also not difficult to score a swap, if I knew in advance, I would take 32 In general, the laptop is super cool for development, quiet, cool, fast with excellent autonomy. Nice aluminum case, software support guarantee for about 8 years (judging by the past mac), great screen. Everything you need is in it. Most of all I was pleased that this is no longer a compromise solution (in terms of performance) like past macBooks, all my work tasks (software development) are super fast (faster than iMac 2022). But, if you do not need the apple ecosystem, there are plenty of options for this money, for any task. You understand - for a quarter of a million, there is something to choose from. It's still a problem with games, but it looks like DX12 support will be brought to crossOver soon.
