Don't worry, it works great.
I was nervous about this purchase because this thing makes me DRINK WATER. My Samsung fridge is model RF28HDED. The filter is perfectly installed. The water supply to the refrigerator does not have to be shut off at all. We didn't get a drop of spray. I've poured in three or four very large glasses of water until all the air was out before drinking water from the fridge or turning the ice maker back on and it's been working fine ever since.
