When my daughter was little, we used the cot a lot. I really liked this device and I felt safe when she slept in it. However, when we removed the attachment and started using the playpen at carrycot height, I felt very uncomfortable. When the mattress is at the height of the carrycot, there is nothing solid under the mattress. The mattress fell off both ends and I was afraid my daughter would roll onto one end and be unsafe. We also had broken supports at one end. However, their customer service was fantastic when it happened. They replaced everything. I ended up selling it and buying a Graco. They have bars under the mattress in the cradle position and it's much more stable.
