1Mii B06S+ Bluetooth 5.2 Receiver, HiFi Bluetooth Audio Adapter w/ LDAC, aptx HD & aptx Low Latency, Long Range Hi-Res Audio with Volume Control, 3.5mm & RCA outputs, Easy Setup for Home Stereo System (ASIN: B0BLYPRZPZ)--QUICK REVIEW✅Remembers last connected device (even after sleeping)✅Changed color depending on what codec is playing✅No audibly introduced noise✅Goes into full sleep after device shutdown (but see negative)-❌Shutting down connected device enables pairing mode for 5 minutes before entering sleep mode❌On device player functions, volume, back, and next song (opinion)❌There is delay when increasing or decreasing volume directly in Windows. (This does not happen when increasing volume with other options, such as the music player itself.)I also own the 1Mii B06TX+ Long Range Bluetooth 5.0 Transmitter, which is ONLY a transmitter. It did have a bug, but it introduced no noise into the system, which is really good. Many of the BT transmitters and receivers I have tested for Vine have introduced noise into the system (hum or hiss). That's an instant 1 star rating. The B06S+ introduced no noise that I could audibly detect.Problem and SolutionI only had one hiccup with the 1Mii B06TX+. Upon starting or restarting Windows 11, the B06S+ automatically reconnected to my music player (as shown in System>Sound>volume mixer) but no sound was coming from the system. I had to go into System>Sound>volume mixer and choose a different playback device, then change it back to the B06S+ device in order to hear audio. My Windows 11 player was using WASAPI (shared) with Windows 11. Changing that to Windows DirectSound solved the problem. (DirectSound is simply a DirectX "wrapper" to WASAPI, so I guess the B06S+ can only use DirectSound driver in order to successfully reconnect. It's not a big deal, but that should not happen.)Codec IdentificationMany of the BT devices I've reviewed do not show what codec is being used, even some higher end models. I appreciate that 1Mii dedicated some sort of identification method showing which codec is in use. It really helps trouble shoot when needed:COLOR CODESDark Blue = AAC / SBCDark Turquiose = aptXBright Green = aptX HDBright Purple = LDACI tested each mode using my cell phone in developer mode, which allowed me to switch codecs on the fly. Each time I changed the codec, the Mii B06S+ identified the correct codec and displayed the corresponding color.Sleep FunctionUpon shutting down Windows 11, the B06S+ automatically starts blinking red and blue, which is pairing mode. It will stay in this mode for 5 minutes, and then shut itself off. Entering pairing mode automatically allows anyone to instantly pair to your system, in my case an amp hooked to expensive speakers, and is not a secure method.I do appreciate that the B06S+ shut itself off, and then when the last device it was previously paired with come online, it will wake up and reconnect. That's the way it should be.I do not appreciate extra volume functions or other functions on the BT device itself. There are plenty of music controls from within your device, and to introduce more points of possible distortion is unnecessary. The B06S+ uses the Qualcomm CSR8811+DS2101 chipset.
