I had a torn biceps tendon and the surgeon explained it to RSI because I was using a mouse while my arm was hanging off the table or stretched out too far in front of me. I have tried several static supports and they are ok but too tight. I built one myself out of plywood, but my desk at home is a bureau so that would mean holes in the front. I don't know why people complain about the lack of padding - nobody complains that the table is made of wood! I find it very convenient. I'm 5ft 11" and 230" tall with fairly large forearms and it fits me perfectly. I LOVE that it moves with the keyboard and mouse so you never have to raise your hand - which probably caused the RSI injury to my biceps tendon. I also like the fine height adjustment with a screw - you can go from 10mm below the tabletop to about 120mm above it, which is overkill but might be useful for some. hand, although it just lies there when you type.
