DEFECTIVE OR COUNTERFEIT PRODUCT! BEWARE!

COMPLETELY DEFECTIVE PRODUCT! I ordered this item and am not sure who the "seller" is, but it is either a defect or a counterfeit. When the filter is installed, tiny plastic particles come out of the water. I was horrified! I've tried taking the filter out and using another one from Home Depot and the Home Depot one works fine, no tiny bits of plastic; When I put this back in place tiny particles went through, it was clearly coming from the filter itself! horrified because we haven't noticed the tiny particles for a while!
