Great filters, best value on Revain. There is a flashing indicator light to replace after 6 months, but this is a temporary reference and not an actual indication of the filter used. After so many years of using the Moen 9001 I stopped changing the turn signal battery and using the filter until the water flow through the filter slowed down which is almost 9 months of use in my house. I bought two filters. When it came time to replace the first, the second fell apart as I turned on the water on the filter and the water shot into the sink cabinet. Luckily I was there when it happened so I could turn off the water otherwise it could flood our house.
