Just received this today so can edit but for now. I love it! The material is a lightweight polyester with a light texture. I like a light texture because it makes the material less shiny and tends to hide the little clumps on my tresses. The colors are bright. It breathes and keeps your head cool even while you sleep. The knot I tie at the back of the ties is much softer and more flexible than a cotton hat. It suits me perfectly. I can tie it tight and as long as it stays in place it doesn't compress because the material flexes. If all goes well with washing and durability I'll get more!
