The necklaces came individually boxed and were very pretty/shiny. I had no trouble showering with them and they get less tangled in my hair than others. My hair is very long and often gets caught on the chain and breaks, so I bought these to replace all my broken chains and have had no problems so far. In the photo you can see the never worn 20" chain compared to the 18" chain which I wore and showered for a month. Seems to hold up! The 18" was a bit short, but the company sent the 20" without my knowledge. The first was about an inch below my collarbone (I'm not a tall woman) which made the clasp difficult to handle alone as it's too short to be easily seen and very small. However, I could do it in the mirror. The longer one was perfect and easy to see for the zip. I put it in the photo. You might want to add a bigger loop at the end, but that's fine. Finally, the chain is very shiny, which can be a good thing unless your metal or material is paired with a high shine. All in all they were a good deal and I will be making gifts with them!
