decoy tactics. Not the classic PYREX borosilicate.

Although pictured on the product page as a classic pyrex measuring cup in capitals, a smaller pyrex glass in lower case is actually sold as supplied. (See the difference in the attached photos of my shipment and the image on the product page.) To keep it short, here's the backstory: Corning Glass invented the classic formula for exceptionally strong borosilicate glass that was later used for PYREX products in 1915. This formula is sold out. in 1998 and, oddly enough, is now only widely used in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. We in America are now getting a less durable soda-lime glass product from a separate company, sold under the brand name "Pyrex" with a lower body. Sneaky, right? I'm sending this back. It looks like a classic bait and cue and they hope you'll just let it go even if you know the difference.
