Difficult to judge because I would only use it in case of fire and thank goodness there weren't any. But last year my apartment really caught fire because of oil and I foolishly threw a pot on the fire in the sink, turned on the water and the flames shot up to the ceiling - horror. Since it was an apartment, the sprinklers took care of it, but now that they lived in a house they wanted them in case something happened again. I'm not the best cook if you can tell! Two in my kitchen and a third upstairs to help me escape if necessary.
