Review on Nikon D7100 DX-Format CMOS Digital πŸ“· SLR (Body Only) with 24.1 Megapixel Sensor by Chasmod Ray ᠌

There are pros and cons, think before buying.

It seems that Nikon cameras are supplied to the 2022 either from the culling of American and European batches, or made according to a simplified technical process . from my experience and my friends, EVERYTHING had to carry cameras after purchase for autofocus adjustment to the Nikon service, and there this phenomenon was considered the norm . the D610 simply lacked a scale of +20.-20 to adjust the front-back focus. And Nikon carcasses and lenses bought in the United Arab Emirates did not suffer from such an opportunity. Nikon screwdriver lenses are both sharper and more stable in operation, which in my opinion is very strange. There is no exposure metering on the D7100 at all! shooting three or four frames of the same object from the same angle and the same distance with the same parameters gives a different result - sometimes dark, sometimes light, sometimes very dark . mode - aperture priority. Sitting and shoveling Raw after filming objects that are not at all complicated in terms of illumination somehow causes some bewilderment. Well, as already mentioned here, the dynamic range of the matrix is \u200b\u200bnot very much . who praises the D7100 picture, just look at the pictures of the same 610 or 810 Nikon . I don’t see the point of buying it, or the D3k-5k series or normal full-frame cameras.

Pros
  • Good build, solid body. Convenient control, operational, practically does not require climbing in the menu during shooting. Excellent focusing on AF lenses without built-in processor, screwdriver lenses work stably, focusing is fast and reliable.
Cons
  • Autofocus does not work stably on AF-S lenses. Exposure metering, whether matrix or center-weighted, does not work adequately. The ADL mode is present purely nominally, how good it was on the D7000, how bad it is here. It is not possible to take a shot with guarantee, constant exposure glitches. you have to make duplicates. Nikon 50 mm f/1.4G AF-S Nikkor , Nikon 35 mm f/2D AF Nikkor , Nikon 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G VR ED AF-S Zoom-Nikkor lenses. Camera firmware 1.03, lens distortion correction latest, 2022
