I thought I had looked at this already but had to replace it again. So it's good that I'm taking a critical look at it again. Incidentally, this is the third time in the last year that this has been replaced. I can't say there are any flaws in the main unit here. If you look closely you'll notice that the ends have removable black rubber caps that reduce friction and noise. Yes, that's great, but every time I break my system, the rubber caps wear out or get damaged in the process. If these caps are broken, the pump will make noise. Ugh I love the look of my Eclipse 3 hood and the way it works don't get me wrong. I think that's why impellers are cheap. I will continue to buy these despite this annoying little flaw because I love the overall product of which it is a part. I just want the rubber tips to be sold individually or for the device to come with multiple sets of them.
