Before rubbing pomade or clay into my hair I just soaked my hair in the sink. I saw several videos about the benefits of using sea salt spray so I decided to give it a try. I've tried this 3 different ways. After getting out of the shower and drying my hair, I first applied 3 sprays to lightly moisturize my hair and then massaged the product into my hair. It definitely helps with styling and gives a textured look. Second, I tried spraying it and using no product. It didn't seem to show much of a difference. I side part my hair and it's not really any different than using water. Finally, I got up in the morning after applying the product to my hair the day before and didn't shower. I had a small head so I put 5 sprays on my hair, ran my hand through it and got rid of the harshness of the product. It did a wonderful job of giving my hair a slightly tousled, textured look that actually looks better than when I originally applied the product to my hair. I would recommend everyone to try this.
