Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Wald W742 Bike Training Wheels (Suitable for 16-26-Inch Bicycles) by David Gonzalez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal for the older beginner!

These training wheels did exactly what we needed! Because we are on a gravel road, our son learned to ride a bike a little late. He's almost eight years old and the last time we weighed him he was 96 pounds. We finally got a chance to park his bike in a place where we could teach him how to ride. Unfortunately he outgrew the bike we bought him with training wheels but luckily he inherited the bike from his cousin. Its size but without training wheels. They lasted a total of 3 days before the plastic core cracked and the wheels fell apart. In addition, this kit was very flimsy and fell apart from the first ride. They were clearly made for small children. So I went hunting. I came across this set and after reading the reviews I decided to give it a try. I was a bit concerned as some reviews said their wheels were bent even though the driver was under the 125lb threshold. I am happy to report from our experience that they would not collapse under a 96 pound child who cannot balance properly if their life depended on it right now. Ha! At the moment we are very happy with the durability of this set but I will update as things progress with use.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok
