    Very good for the price

Not bad for the price. I usually use Malone Wings but they come in very handy for transporting a second kayak on a 3 hour trip. I like that you can adjust the angle. makes loading easier. ;)

Safe, easy to set up, and perfect for towing our kayaks

This kayak rack was easy to install and made towing our kayaks that much easier. It's durable and safe, two very important considerations when buying it, and I'm very satisfied.

Good value for money Good for kayaks, canoes and SUP racks

This kayak holder works well and is a lot cheaper than the two big brands. Downloading is pretty easy if your vehicle is smaller than our BMW X1. If you have a tall car this rack doesn't have a sloping lip like Thule or Yakima and I can see how that would help with loading.

    Love the fold option

Super easy to install and great fold feature. The problem I had was that I wasn't told that the part it attaches to is square. That means he prefers square rails to round ones. My rail is round so I'm not sure how tight it will sit on a round rail if it's square. I dressed it up well so it seems this will create a problem for me. But so far I've only ridden it 10km. Also, I love it! Looks strong and lasts a long time.

DO NOT SPEND YOUR DOLLARS ON THIS

Where do I start it sucks! They do NOT come with mounts for your kayak ends, so you will need to purchase them. They only come with one roof rack clamp bracket, there should be two. They really only fit round or square bathroom roof racks. So if you have aero bars they are practically useless! I've tried contacting support to buy more hardware packs and it's someone who speaks English! No need, do yourself a favor and buy Thule roof racks!

Non-universal mount system (no aero bars)

I ordered them based on the description of a universal mounting system that would fit all types of crossbars, including aero bars. As you can see from the picture these bars are clearly designed for square bars and while they could technically be fitted to an aero bar I didn't have the warm and fluffy feeling that they would hold up or stay secure over a long ride . In addition, the hinge and locking mechanism for changing the angle of the two legs is cheaply made and not durable at all. While…

Ideal for 2 kayaks on the factory rack.

This shelf was almost exactly what I was looking for. Aside from the useless paddle holders, they work great and make it very easy to load my two 10ft yaks onto my Subaru Forester without the use of a step stool. The ribbons are beautiful and durable. Like many other reviewers, I wish the mounting brackets matched the aero bars better and had rubberized coatings on the contact surfaces that attach to the aero bars. They protect the bottom but not the top of the aero bars which I find backwards.

    Love these kayak stands

Overall very happy with them. Easy to use and set up, nothing fancy. When folded they look good when not in use. The hinge mechanism appears to be quite reliable. Love the extra paddle holder straps, they were big enough to hold 2 paddles. I have a small problem: I wish the clip that attaches it to the roof rack bar was wider or I used 2 clips instead of 1. The clips themselves work best with a round roof rack. I have a wide oval wand and they still work well, but it's a bit difficult for us to

Not the cheapest but is it really what you want for your good kayaks?

We bought two sets to transport our kayaks for a weekend trip into the wilderness. 800 miles round trip including interstate and twisting back roads. Attaches easily to the factory roof rack (4runner 2008) and works great. The aluminum bottom plate is surprisingly thick/heavy. Keep in mind that they are meant to be installed without tools. If you insist on using a tool to tighten, be careful as the notch in the aluminum tube will not withstand the pressure you can apply with a tool. After our…

    Eh.fine for local surface roads

This is a decent economical option if you spend most of your time in one place. The first time I put them on in my Outback, the spring popped out of the locking mechanism. It was very easy to reassemble, but it immediately made me doubt its reliability. The time will show. They're good for local trips, but my first 2-hour EASY freeway kayak ride was patchy. This system swayed and rolled along the highway. They certainly aren't as durable as the Yakima or Thule, which I highly recommend paying…

Great system at an affordable price

Easy to fit to existing Thule square bars. Once engaged, the J Bars hold our 15ft tandem kayak securely. The quality of the hardware also seems good, time will tell. The folding feature comes in handy when you're not removing or removing roof rails, allowing J-rods or hooks to lie flat when not in use. Small adjustments were needed for optimal performance, but they were easy to make. And they were available, which is a big factor with Covid Times back orders for many outdoor products like kayak

Damaged roof rack and missing parts

Error number one was ordering from the Amazon warehouse. He went to hell and he lacked the ratchet straps he needed to even use them. Revain gave me $15 off the missing straps, but I had to go to the store and buy them. Other issues: 1. The screw hole on one part of the bottom bracket wasn't big enough for the screw to go all the way in, so it needed some filing. The brackets also damaged and bent my front rail. Remember that these screws should only be hand tightened to avoid over tightening…
