I ordered them based on the description of a universal mounting system that would fit all types of crossbars, including aero bars. As you can see from the picture these bars are clearly designed for square bars and while they could technically be fitted to an aero bar I didn't have the warm and fluffy feeling that they would hold up or stay secure over a long ride . In addition, the hinge and locking mechanism for changing the angle of the two legs is cheaply made and not durable at all. While they coke with two straps, the carrier doesn't come with bow or stern tie-down straps. I returned my set and chose another option.
