Must be realistic.
If you're looking for an ultra-lightweight and semi-disposable solution, I think this is a great device. However, if you want to be happy with your purchase, you need to have realistic expectations of what you're getting from a >$15 plastic level. I got this level because I needed it right now and I haven't decided on my "eternal" level yet. If you are looking for a cheap permanent solution, I recommend looking at the fill level in the aluminum box instead.
