I'm 6 feet 2,295 pounds. and walk a lot. I usually prefer Brooks shoes but they seem to have dropped in quality lately so I decided to give them a try. The arches I bought passed the fire test when I took them apart on a 4 day trip to Disney World walking a few miles a day. By day 3 the sole of the boot had loosened about 3/4 inch and was making a popping noise when walking. The pain in my ankle that I was having at that point was so severe that I started limping. I have never had ankle pain before this shoe. I'm stubborn so I kept trying to wear them hoping they would break. No, the pain got worse and worse in the weeks that followed. Skechers didn't help when the sole was loose or I was struggling with pain. I've been to the dump and I'm going back to Brooks.
