Hook Hook works well
This is a tatting hook with a hook on the end. The steel end of the hook makes it easy to connect the loops, but as you get faster you may prefer a point or no point at all. The thread runs between the sides of the hook that are taut enough to prevent unraveling. This is a good shuttle for beginners.
