Review on MB Stone Care Granite Polish by Angel Scully

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Total amateur - amazing results with the right tools.

A few years ago my granite sink was marred by many scratches on the surface. We asked someone to restore it and although the scratches had disappeared the polish used quickly disappeared and we were left with a slab that was semi-glossy and tarnished. I figured I would either have to buy a new slab or pay someone else to try to restore the granite until I saw some granite restoration videos. Many of the videos used multiple diamond wheels of different grits and I didn't like the process. Then I found a video with the MB-20 with great results. I first tried MB-20 with a 5" felt pad with my Dewalt drill and got poor results due to not enough speed/RPM and too much wobble between the pad and granite. I broke down and bought a 7" Makita 92/7C variable speed polisher and a hog hair pad with amazing results. You definitely need those faster speeds to get that shine. I even ended up using speed 5 and 6 to get the After this high speed, I noticed some swirls in the granite, but I was able to remove them easily by adding a small amount of water and turning the speed back to setting 3 by gently walking over the swirling area for a minute or two .Absolutely thrilled with the results and will be using again!

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
