tried charcoal. not a fan.

The mint flavor is quite mild, but it works. I saw "charcoal" when I ordered (not a fan) but I haven't seen any globoid toothpaste tablets without the charcoal listed in the description so now that I have it I'll try it and see whether I like it more. It's better than tubes of toothpaste when it comes to waste, as far as I can tell. The packaging is like thick cardboard, and while I don't know if our recycling facility recycles it along with the rest of the cardboard, I feel better decomposing in a landfill than in a plastic tube of toothpaste. They are fairly easy to chew and foam. a little. Not as strong as, say, Colgate, but enough to "rinse out" after brushing your teeth. Once again I plan to (hopefully) order the non-charcoal variety next time, but I think it would be nice to have a supply.
