Just received today. Very durable construction. Very bright LEDs. Numerous Flash templates. Connection to cigarette lighter. The plug comes with two switches. One to turn on and off and the other to choose the flash pattern. Cable about 6 feet. May stand a little longer so that he can be removed from the road. Bought this based on reviews that it works in cold weather. Since the other one I bought, although LED, didn't work in the cold. The magnet mounts are rubber covered and provide excellent grip on the roof of my truck. Worth the money IMO. UPDATE 3/20/2015. This is a very good device. Very bright and very noticeable even in broad daylight. There are various flash functions to choose from. At night I can see this thing blinking slightly from 2 miles away. I've been using this device for about 2 months and it works great. Heavy frost doesn't bother him even at -20. It has four magnetic closures on the bottom. This allows it to be attached very securely to the roof of my truck. Even at Autobahn speed (75-80) that doesn't work. The cord is straight. Both your on/off switch and your flash selector are on the plug. However, if you want it permanently on your car and hardwired, you can't unplug the flash button as it's a single device. . The cable is long enough to run from the middle of my truck to the cigarette lighter on the dash. But its length is not long enough to hide the cord under the seat, for example. Update February 12, 2018 It seems that the warranty on this device has just expired. Now it has stopped working. A group of lights does not burn. The other is very dark. The flash doesn't work either. Looks like water got into the block and shorted it out. Up to this point I had no complaints. A little over 3 years. I would also like to note that I have never kept the device in the car for a full year. It only worked in winter and shut down in spring. And then stored in its own plastic case. All in all I got about 1 year of total usage from it. 😡
