The fan in my 08 Expedition was turned off intermittently. No rhyme, no reason, sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. Replaced the original with this product a few months ago and it's been working great ever since. This fan is as quiet as the original and just as fast. Removing the old one is a bit of a hassle and requires the patience of a saint. If you are quick-tempered, let someone else do it. Several videos on the web show the process and the foam covering the floorpan just below the blower gets damaged and nothing else. Minimize damage by working slowly without jerking or jerking.
