I love my dogs but I don't like that they have recently started tagging my house. I've had them for 7.5 years from 6 months) and they were neutered when I got them. These are male Schnoodles that weigh 22 and 25 pounds respectively. Within the last year they have started to urinate and I can't figure out why. I decided to connect the "why" to the equation and just put a band-aid on the problem. hence these diapers, I first ordered the larger ones. Rufus can fully attach Velcro; Jonesy, who has slightly larger bones, has to stretch these diapers fully. The velcro seems solid and holds quite well. Have the diapers ever "fallen off"? Yes. But I was able to figure out that it was because they "help" each other (cruel rolling on the carpet with the dog brother "paw"). Yes. You really don't like them. I put them on and they became dejected and embarrassed. I swear her whole demeanor has changed. But they have to swallow it. you write, you pay. That's why I deducted a star because my chubby 25kg dog was bursting at the seams. Now for absorbency. These are fluffy, thick diapers that appear to have tremendous absorbency. Ironically, the first day we received them, there was a MAP downpour. My boys HATE running in the rain. They are fighting us NOT to go outside. Soooo I decided to let her win this fight. The next morning it stopped raining in the late morning. I took off my diapers and let them out. There was pee on both diapers and one had quite a bit of pee on it. Surprisingly, none have leaked! The elastic construction worked and they actually felt waterproof. Score one for me! Now came the dreadful diaper cleaning. I'll start this off by saying that when this problem first started appearing a year ago I was buying tummy tucks where you put a sanitary napkin in to avoid a horrible cleanse. Worst purchase ever. These pads never stood still. I found Depends pads throughout the house (also, the velcro was tiny and didn't close well). Not to mention I had to buy Depends pads. No matter what you tell your friends about what you come across when you buy them, deep down they will always think they are for you. Anyway, I rinsed the bracelets in hot water for a few minutes until the urine smell went away (I didn't even have to touch the pads). I then put a few drops of detergent on the pads, lathered them (yes I used my hands at this point) and then wrung/rinsed until the lathering stopped. I hung my diapers over the sink to dry. Light. The diapers dry well. They were fluffy and the Velcro worked great. I ended up buying a second three pack. I now have one for each dog, one dry ready for swapping and one for drip drying. I hope this will stop them going indoors (other than for showers, diapers usually only have small drips). If not, you can wear them forever. They might look a little silly, but at least they get through this together.
