Pretty good at removing residual allergens
We just moved into our new home. The previous owners had a cat and I decided to neutralize the carpet as my wife has allergies. I was a bit skeptical but after just one use she noticed a big difference. Now she can enjoy the carpeted floor of our house without sneezing. I don't know how effective it will be as a permanent treatment, but I can tell you from experience that it's pretty good at neutralizing residual allergens (like cat dander and dander). My book has a price.
