So I accidentally dropped something hard and it scratched and dented the MacBook right to the left of the track pad. It drove me absolutely nuts for about 2 weeks. I searched for hours for skins just to cover just below the keyboard so I could at least hide it. I saw some iffy reviews but decided to pull the trigger on it. I can see where someone might have messed up on this. They give you two pieces, one for below the keyboard where you rest your palms, and another for the track pad. The issue I saw was the the piece for where your palms go, also has a sticker for the track pad. You have to remove this and NOT USE IT for the track pad. The second sticker for the track pad is slightly smaller so that it doesn’t stick to the sides. I didn’t use the track pad sticker, only because I just wanted to cover the palm area. I took my time installing it. I recommend pealing one side half way and slowly apply it, and as you move down, you continue removing the protective film so that it doesn’t accidently stick while you’re apply it but as you can see, it covered the dent and scratched area, and looks really good. This was probably the closet color to Apple’s Space Gray that I could find. The texture of the sticker is also a lot softer than the aluminum. Making it nicer on the palms and everything. I’ll continue to update this review as needed if there are any changes on how long it holds for.
