I connected my Elgato HD60S capture device to my computer with the regular cable that came with it and was able to capture video. Connected USB-C for Elgato and it couldn't record video. I'm trying to use it as an extension cord for my external Sabrent dock, which used to work fine. The transfer stopped while the file was being transferred. Stopped and started, and the transfer completed. An attempt to transfer using the original cable failed, after which the dock stopped working (you can still turn it on, it just doesn't communicate with the PC anymore). Maybe the docking station just died. after the second use but before I used this extender it worked and after that it broke. (fortunately that didn't work for my Elgato; may just need to find longer HDMI cables for the Elgato, but it's annoying to have to run two HDMI cables further instead of just having a longer USB-C)
