For some strange reason, a car accessory I bought uses this nonsensical branded (cr)apple connector to connect the wiring harness to a separate controller , so I had to buy this extension to make everything fit where I wanted. It worked, but I wasn't impressed with how flimsy the cable was, and the female end didn't seem to squeeze it that much. I think we'll see how it works over time.
