Review on 🐱 Enhance Your Cat's Playtime with Go Pet Club's 62" Tall Greyish Black Cat Tree Furniture by Irene Bra

reasonably decent build and NOT for big cats

My cat is quite large (14lbs) so one of the most important things for me in a scratching post is stability. Unfortunately, this is the main thing missing from this tree. Because of the layered design, the top layers tend to wobble when he jumps on them, after which he discontinued them entirely. I removed them and partially rearranged the tree to make it more comfortable. I should also note that the top layer isn't perch like it looks in the picture, but more of a cover. It's also a full 2 feet above the next layer, and because of the angle to the layer below, my cat, even at her size, can't jump in. The only time he got there was when I put him down there and when he tried to get down he had to jump 6 feet to the ground because he didn't have a good angle to any of the layers below. In terms of durability, it's pretty solid. I've had it for over 2 years now and most of the jambs are scratched but it's structurally in good condition. If I wanted to buy a sisal rope, I could wrap the pole in such a way that it's scratched, but it's not worth it to me. Finally, the body size is also designed for small or (perhaps) medium-sized cats. The second level shelter is technically big enough for my cat, but he is very cramped and doesn't like going in. He can hardly turn around. Issues that make recommendation difficult. Of course, if you have a big cat like a Maine Coon or a Ragdoll, this scratching post is not for you.
