Pros Size of the cubes is good, I only need one ice cube in my drink. I got some good batches out of the molds before I came across this. Cons: 1) After making several batches of ice (maybe 10?), the silicone sticks to the ice so tightly that when I pop the cubes, the ice takes a few pieces of the silicone with it. Nothing beats a nice drink and the little black particles floating at the bottom of your glass. I have to throw them out now as I can't carefully inspect every ice cube I make and scrape off the pieces. 2) Something related to the fact that the cubes are REALLY difficult to release as the ice sticks so tightly to the silicone. After 3-4 servings, I found a way to extract the ice fairly easily (twist to break, push out the middle two cubes by pressing directly in the middle, then pull out the outer cubes by pinching the outer edges on either side grasp) . cube, then press firmly on the inner corner). Before I got the hang of it though, I cut my finger on the edge of the cube trying to dig it up. My wife isn't strong enough to pull the cubes out so she has to ask me to empty the mold for her if we haven't already put the cubes in our ice tray. 3) After receiving them, I immediately drove them away. Dishwasher, then ice made. The silicone absorbed the smell/taste of the washing-up liquid very strongly, so my first ice cube tasted like soap. Unfortunately I put a bunch of ice in my thermos for the day's adventure and it was the only water I took with me, so I ended up drinking bad tasting water all day. However, after a thorough hand wash of the mold, the dish soap taste seems to have faded, so that's it, and I was able to make a few batches of decent ice cream before the mold on the ice came loose. My review is about dice because to be honest I don't use sphere mold anymore after making a few batches of spheres. It's a pain to fill and the cubes are pretty small so I need at least 2-3 in my drink. I only use them with a water bottle whose hole is too small for large cubes. The balls are even more difficult to pull out than the cubes because when you remove the "lid" some will stick to the lid, others to the bottom and then you have to press really hard on the not so hard silicone to try and slide them out and the shape is VERY flexing and expanding until you finally apply enough force to break the superglue that is welded to silicone. Every time I pull the bullet out I'm 90% sure I only stretched it to the point where it must have snapped, but so far it's remained remarkably intact. Conclusion: I could live with most of the problems, I like the size of the cubes and it makes ice cream fairly quickly, but all the ice comes off with bits of mold clinging to it, making these bowls difficult for me.
