This duvet is probably best used as a duvet insert. It comes with corner fasteners for the duvet cover, so that's a good thing. I'm very happy with the weight and the alternative down material used for the 'down', but I'm not the biggest fan of outer microfiber. The instructions say to wash in COLD water so keep an eye on it. I used a dryer sheet but it still came out very static. The instructions also say you can spray it with water and smooth out the wrinkles with your hand. I did exactly that, but since the outside is microfiber, it stayed wet for a very long time. I live in Arizona so most things dry in minutes. I would recommend just tossing it back in the dryer if you want to get rid of the wrinkles. All this to say that the weight of the duvet is really comfortable and doesn't seem to get too hot. I'm looking for a linen sheet to cover it with because it gives me the best comforter performance without the weird feel of the microfiber surface. I ordered a full/queen size for use on a full size platform bed. It's a bit big in the corners and I have to slide extra material under the frame to keep it from looking messy.
