I didn't hang it on the wall, although it comes with a wall mount (and glue, toothpaste holder and charger). I bought it for my electric toothbrush, which is too big (about a quarter inch) to fit in this unit, but I CAN take the toothbrush head (the only part I needed to sterilize anyway) off and put it in the car without effort. Problem. Once plugged in, open it, put your toothbrush(es)/heads in, face the UV lamp and close the door. When you close the door, the UV light will turn on for 5-8 minutes to sterilize the contents and the light will turn off when done so you know when they're done cleaning and removed can be used, eliminating any guesswork. It doesn't take long to clean, so it doesn't consume much power (it can run on batteries or the included power cord). Before using this I had the worst "morning mouth" taste/breath in my mouth when I woke up (I brush my teeth before bed). After cleaning my brush head with this device this problem has only halved which I believe results in fewer germs/bacteria getting into my mouth from my brush while brushing as they multiply overnight and get smaller in the morning. leave an unpleasant aftertaste/odour. That may sound harsh, but it's the only difference I've noticed that might show its effectiveness.
