This is the best carrier I've tried. My old dog is a large Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix weighing about 14 pounds and all previous carriers we've tried were way too small. One carrier we tried required a second person to strap it to my back, so it was pointless if I wanted to go out alone with the old dog. This sling is well made, adjustable for my comfort and my dog's comfort, and perfectly cradles my dog while I go for walks. It has a small clip on the inside to attach it to your pet, but my dog is older and quite happy to stay in the carrier without being buckled up. It's so easy to put on and take off and lifts my pet into the carrier it takes seconds to assemble and be ready for our trip. Conversely, my dog was initially nervous about the sling as he had never used it, so it was easier for me to put the sling on first and then bend over to a surface like a bed and invite my dog in and sit on it. Loosen the strap material, adjust the material around it, and then get up and walk. It just depends on the size of your pet and how comfortable they feel with the bandage initially. This is a great device for walking an old dog like mine who has a heart condition and can't walk far. Very nicely made and does what it's supposed to. I gave it four stars instead of five because I would have liked more padding in the shoulder area.
