Review on Thermos Foogo 11 Ounce Bottle Purple by Dawn Burg

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Finally a bottle we love!

We have been looking for a straw bottle for my one and a half year old baby for a long time. We specifically looked for something he could drink milk from; for us that means it should be easy to clean (if we accidentally leave it too long we should be able to wash it in no time), it should be easy to hold in the hands of little hands, it should be easy to get a drink out of extract and clean so I know cleaning will remove all milk residue. We still had a few straw bottles that we loved dearly when our first child was younger. However, since they are getting on in years due to frequent use and age, we started looking for new replacement bottles about 6 months ago. We've tried many types with little success: these 360-degree drinking cups (they make my baby gassy and don't clean up quickly), other non-spilling straw bottles (my baby pooped the most because they were difficult to draw liquid out of) . ), ordinary cups with plain straws (yes, messes galore). We were still desperately clinging to those broken bottles and trying new ones HOPEING we might find something good, but nothing good was found. Then we saw a kid using a Frogo cup! We knew Thermos made bottles in a variety of thermos types, but had no idea they also came in clear plastic! We already have 5 water/juice thermoses that we love so much so we thought HEY! Let us try it. Of course, these bottles are three times more expensive than most straw cups you can buy in stores. But this bottle, if we had known beforehand that it existed, would have saved us 3 times more than THIS bottle (from all bad buys)! *sigh* Anyway, WE LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this bottle. Easy to clean, completely clear, no leaks (with caveats; see below), easy to hold, easy to empty, easy to move latch. I can not name a single negative side. Ideal for milk. *happy sigh* The biggest downside you'll see in reviews is that it leaks. Exactly right: If the lid and/or the plastic part of the straw is wet when you close the lid, it's almost certain that the plastic will curl sideways and leak. This not only applies to Frogos, but also to Funtainers (although the latest version of Funtainer probably solves this problem, although I'm not a fan of the new design for other reasons). But that's easy to fix: you just have to make sure the inside of the lid and the drinking disk are dry before you close the lid. All it really takes is a thorough wipe down with a cloth or paper towel. Funtainers have never run out since this realization. And we have frog. Well, we had the advantage of already knowing the weaknesses of thermos flasks, so we never encountered a leak problem. So. Perhaps having to keep the lid/drinking disk dry can be a minor inconvenience. But other than that, I see no problem not getting this product. It was a godsend for us after so many failed attempts at trying random foods. Why we didn't think of looking at Thermos is still a mystery to me. but anyway. Now we are completely satisfied and that is the main thing!
