I wanted to tone down the rear lenses and didn't know where to start and how much I wanted the red toned down. I started with a black shade and really liked the look, but not much light from the bulb, especially during the day. Next I drove into light smoke and that was exactly what I was looking for. I took this photo of only the left rear lens with light smoke and the other three with dark smoke. Hope this helps someone make the right choice. As for the application? Buy extra ones for practice. I don't like felt tip pens because they can still scratch the foil so I covered the squeegee with velcro and it worked perfectly. Good lighting is a must.
