Beautiful set of flatware

I wanted the simplest design, without any decorative sharp edges to poke the hand in use. The flatware is beautiful and a pleasure to use, and certainly a dynamite price. I have some cons, but not disqualifying. For me, the dish of regular spoon is too large and somewhat shallow. The soup spoon is as large as serving spoons in some other sets. The lengths of all the utensils are about 10% longer than what I would want for my everyday utensils. The tines of the meal forks are blunt so that I must make multiple attempts to spear things like lettuce in a salad, often just scooping leaves to pick them up. Finally, the desert forks have misaligned tines, the second from the left bend upward, and this in all 8 forks in the two sets of four place settings, meaning it could be a manufacturing defect. I believe I can bend the tines into alignment, but they are sort of springy. The knives are pure joy, one solid piece of silver stainless steel with no joint. To clean them just swipe from handle to blade without interruption. As I have said, the flatware is beautiful, and it is wonderful for guests, and comfortable to hold.

Pros
  • Easy to hold, sturdy, and easy to clean. Very nice flatware.
Cons
  • Over time, the set may warp or bend due to use
