My Yorkie is almost 9 and the only dry food she will eat is Royal Canin. She has been eating a different RC formula for the past two years that isn't a senior food and is pretty high in fat. I figured it was time to put her on something that would provide healthy aging support and prevent weight gain. So far, she will eat this food dry (with a freeze-dried topper, of course) and rehydrated. That's a big win since she's VERY picky and I've tried other RC formulas that she's rejected. It also firmed up her stools, they were a little soft on the previous food. I will keep her on this as long as it's available.
