Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Pellethead Vacuum Design Fireplaces Pellet: The Ultimate Solution for Effortless Fireplace Cleaning by Michael Tegan

Works great, requires more maintenance than standard drywall bag filter

I purchased this vacuum 3 months prior to this review to service my pellet stove and Franklin wood stove. The smaller hose and tank are great for manoeuvring. Bottlenecks of the pellet stove. Also ideal for quick cleaning around stoves. I clean my pellet stove weekly and my wood stove about every two weeks. The filter is a great idea and an understated design. Before I bought this one, I used my smaller shop vacuum with a drywall dust filter bag. The fine dust from a pellet stove will definitely clog most filters. This unit has a "pre-filter" that seems to work very well. Because it works so well, it needs to be cleaned after EVERY use or you'll lose suction and burn out your motor. I have found that my engine gets slightly warm despite regular and frequent filter maintenance. This is a good buy. If you prefer to buy expensive drywall bag filters and not maintain reusable filters, ask the folks at PELLETHEAD to design an adapter for those bags.
