The price is right for this large small vacuum cleaner. We use it to clean our Harmon pellet stove. This vacuum cleaner makes the dirty work a lot easier. It's small but has a large enough container to hold the ashes for multiple cleanings. My only complaint is that there is no space on top of the vacuum to mount attachments and the attachments tend to fall off the hose fairly easily. Goodbye.

This seems like what I wanted, but I've only used it once. I'll have to wait for the ash to cool almost completely, but I knew before I bought it that it couldn't handle hot coals. There is no ash flying around the room, and that was very important to me, since we just shoveled out the stove with shovels beforehand. I hope it lasts a long time as we mainly heat with two wood stoves and we are tired of all the powder dust.

The suction power is excellent! Had to switch as my last warm ash vacuum was weak. What I mean is with a wedge nozzle if you suck up the ash too fast you can clog the hole. The tank is smaller than my last tank, but that's ok. Just means you empty it a little more. I burn a lot, so about two cleans of my insert and it's time to empty it. The Pellethead Ash works very well. It has strong suction, is light, rolls easily and is well filtered. It keeps ash dust and odors very well in its stainless steel drum. It's small enough to keep in a cupboard next to my counter where it's within reach to clean our pellet liner. The metal-lined hose is long, as is the power cord for the size of this machine. Bought this vacuum cleaner for elderly parents. You have a chimney and cleaning becomes too difficult. My dad was very surprised when the box arrived at his door (I didn't tell him I ordered it) and was excited to try it!
