This stuff works great for me. I wish they didn't all rate it the same, though, so they have to skimp on sandalwood, which you can barely smell or not at all, depending on whether your senses are heightened or not. I almost gave it 3 stars but the product works really well and the smell is not at all unpleasant and light. Basically you only smell the vanilla. I would happily pay $5 to $10 for a heavier sandalwood tier. I have worked in health food stores for many years and know the extremely high price of sandalwood oil. It would be nice if they sold a more expensive fragrance that actually smells like sandalwood. Because it's probably the only one on the market that isn't synthetic. And I'm sure there's a group of people big enough to spend money on something really authentic. Four stars for the lack of sandalwood. I also have honest Amish beard wax. For me, both are very similar in the way they hold my beard. I will try other Badass Beard Wax scents. I hope that one day they will take it up a notch with the sandalwood version. Updated 05/12/18. With further use of this and Amish beard wax, I've noticed that the Amish wax is thicker and has a slightly better hold. But I still use both.
