Bought for my son's 6th birthday. He loves Lego and building, he has good manual skills. I sat down with him to build some of the sea creatures from the booklet and to be honest I had some trouble figuring out some of the instructions. They aren't as easy to assemble as Lego sets and the instructions aren't as clear. We made a hammerhead shark and a monkfish. Creatures you create are fun for kids once built, but they don't hold together very well. The parts can also be easily destroyed, especially by the younger siblings who are obsessed with spoken word! They had more fun building their own made-up animals, but the set sat on the shelf in a Tupperware box (buy one, there's a TON of little pieces to tuck in) and didn't see much action for almost a month. I don't think we will get more of these kits.
